• Portland, Maine - Just name the spot and it’s all pretty awesome. A few of our faves are City Hall (gorgeous neutral background,) Wharf Street down by Central Provisions, Park Ave with all the colored doors and East End near the Beach or on the Promenade. 

 •Marginal Way in Ogunquit - Great little cove right behind the Beachmere Inn and you can usually find parking on Isreal Head Road near the "faux" lighthouse. This is also a quick drive down to Perkins Cove for the working harbor. You won't want to hit this during high tide or the coves will be hidden. 

• Prouts Neck in Scarborough - If you are planning to meet for a drink first this is a great spot. You would grab a drink first at Black Point Inn (so you can use their parking lot) and across the street is a beach or right off the parking lot there is a cliff walk you can wander down.

• Reid State Park in Georgetown ME , aka Rachel's favorite. - This is a gorgeous state park about an hour north of Portland. It has that pine trees meets the sea vibe. Sandy beaches, sand dunes, tide pools and rocky coastline. Start at half mile beach and you can always wander out from there. The park does close around dusk so plan accordingly.

• Kettle Cove or Two lights state park in Cape Elizabeth and there is always the Portland Head Light and Fort if you are looking for something more iconic. With the light house I warn you there is climbing down rocks and climbing back up as we don't want to just grab that "average" photograph of the area. Time this with low tide as well. 

• Mackworth Island in Falmouth - If you feel like going for a stroll and want both that coastal vibe but also wooded walking trails.

• Maine Audobon/Gilsland Farm in Falmouth - A little rustic (they have a barn that townspeople store their gardening gear in) but also a lot of walking trails. A little more nature based. 

• Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park in Freeport - Also nature based with some great spots for that rocky coastline/rocky beach overlooking a small island plus wooded trails.

• Wells Reserve/Laudholm Farm in Wells - Cute yellow "farmhouse" and a nature preserve.

• If you are looking for a short hike with big rewards I recommend Maiden's Cliff in Camden. Or Camden State Park does have a road that will take you to one of the summits and has pretty cool views overlooking the water/town.
